FAQs for Job Seekers
When can I start working?
Availability of jobs changes on a daily basis. Once you have completed our application process, you will be considered for jobs based on your preferences and skills, and will be offered appropriate positions.
What is the application process?
Once you complete your online application, a staffing specialist will review it, and contact you regarding possible job opportunities. You may then be scheduled to visit our office to complete your application. Please note, you must use an Internet Explorer web browser to complete our online application.
If asked to complete our application process, you will be asked to provide complete work history information, preference of shift, type of work and location, and proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
After the application is complete, you will interview with a staffing specialist. In the interview, you will have the opportunity to discuss your vocational skills and experiences in job-related settings. The staffing specialist will discuss not only what specific skills you have, but also find out more about what you are looking for in your next position.
Brooks Staffing will perform reference checks with previous employers and other references provided by applicants. Once reference information is complete, you will be offered jobs based on all the factors of our screening process.
Before placement on an assignment, you may be administered a drug screen.
How often should I contact your office after an interview?
We encourage applicants to check in weekly to maintain availability in our system. You will be asked for your name, phone number and type of work that you are interested in. If you call in when our office is closed, please leave the aforementioned information on our voicemail. Please repeat your phone number twice.
If your contact information (phone number, email address, or address) changes, please contact our office to notify us of the change.
What if I am not interested in a position when it is offered? Is it all right to turn it down?
If you are not interested in a position, you are free to decline. Please inform your staffing specialist of why the position offered was not a fit. We will continue to offer positions to you based on your skills and preferences.
What if I am on an assignment and decide it is not a good fit for me?
While our staffing specialists strive for an ideal fit with every associate-to-job match, we realize that not every job will be a good fit for you. Sometimes you won’t know that until you have tried the position. If you are on an assignment and find it is not going to work for you, we ask that you contact us immediately. You may be asked to stay at an assignment long enough for us to find a replacement, but we will attempt to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. Communication is the key to successfully resolving the situation.
We expect open and proactive communication from our applicants and associates, and they can expect the same from Brooks Staffing.
Do I pay for your services?
Our services are provided to applicants and employees at no fee.
How can I stay informed about open positions?
We encourage you to check online often for the latest available openings.
